Arnaiz joins Leganes after one year with Barcelona
El Butarque's hosts will pay 5 million euros plus 500.000 euros in variables
Barcelona B winger Jose Arnaiz has left the club and joined Leganes for five million euros and 500.000 euros in variables.
According to different sources, Barcelona have a buyback option but there are no exact figures.

Jose Arnaiz arrived in Barcelona last summer from Valladolid for three million euros. The 23-year-old forward managed five games and three goals for Barcelona's senior team last season in all competitions.
Do you regret letting Arnaiz go?
Barcelona have sold 23-year-old striker Jose Arnaiz to Leganes in a deal worth five million euros, while there are add-ons that could reach half a million euros.
The Catalan club retain a repurchase option on the player, who is signing a five-year deal with the Madrid-based club.
Arnaiz will wear the No.16 and will be presented by Leganes on Thursday at 11:30 CEST.
Other clubs such as Getafe and Real Sociedad were interested in the forward too, but Leganes won the race.
The goalkeeper praised his Barcelona teammate’s mentality
Marc-André ter Stegen, who recently saved a last-gasp penalty to ensure Barcelona’s 2-1 Supercup victory over Sevilla, has come out praising his FC Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi, for his mental strength. “Every player who’s on the field can learn from Leo,” the keeper said. “It’s not just about football, we’re talking about a guy that’s mentally strong. Look at how many years he’s now played at a big level, always scoring, doing the work he’s doing every day and even getting better. This is what everybody could learn.”
The German said Messi was an “idol to everybody” because he is always looking to strengthen his skills. “He just wants to make himself and the team better,” he said, “and everyone should think like this.”
Ter Stegen praised Messi’s personality, aside from his footballing skills and mentality. “It’s very easy to work with him,” the keeper said. “He’s a very humble guy, everybody has a good opinion about him -- and when it comes to football, there are no words for what he’s capable of doing on the field.”
Another interesting bit - when asked about Cristiano Ronaldo, Ter Stegen says the loss of Andrés Iniesta is comparable.
He was a very important player for Real Madrid and he will be a very important player for Juventus as well. For us, it doesn’t really change. They have so many good players that we need to be aware of. They’ll have a good season. It’s not just about Cristiano Ronaldo, even if he had a big impact for them. As I said before, we lost Andres Iniesta, who was a big personality and a wonderful player, and I think for them it will almost be the same.
Barcelona retain a buy-back clause
CD Leganés has confirmed the capture of FC Barcelona B winger José Arnaiz for €5m plus 500k in variables. Barcelona do retain a buy-back clause, although the terms have not been revealed.
Arnaiz signed for Barcelona from Real Valladolid a year ago, and he put in a few impressive displays for the senior team until a pelvic injury sidelined him for the rest of the season.
Barcelona B dropped to the third division, meaning many stars were eager to move on and play at higher levels. Leganés finished 17th last season in La Liga, avoiding the drop. They also eliminated Real Madrid from the Copa del Rey in the quarterfinals, before bowing out to Sevilla in the semis.
Arnaiz will sign for Leganés for five seasons as the team hopes to retain their La Liga status and make another cup run. Barça can buy the 23-year-old back at a set fee if he impresses them enough in the coming seasons.

Rafinha Alcantara is set to stay at Barcelona for next season, according to Ariedo Braida, an advisor for international football for the club.
Ernesto Valverde has been impressed by the player and, despite the rumours of a future exit, the Brazilian may end up staying with the Catalan giants.
"It is very likely that Rafinha will stay at Barcelona," Braida explained in an interview with Radio Sportiva.
"He has great football qualities and he is a player who can decide games due to the way he handles the ball."
Last year the player did not have the chance to convince the Blaugrana coach to keep the midfielder due to his serious injury, but this time around the football advisor believes this season will be a big step in his career.
"Last year he came back from a serious injury, but when he recovered he did great things at Inter," he continued.
"He is a player who has impressive technical skills."
In addition, Braida also spoke on possible signings before the transfer deadline.
As he has done in the past, Braida praised the Frenchman Adrien Rabiot, while practically dismissing the possibility the Catalans would sign Paul Pogba.
"We are following many players, Rabiot is one that has shown quality, but time will tell," the advisor said.
"I do not think we are going to sign him [Pogba], but he is a great player.
"Today we talk more about money than about football, but the important thing is to buy well and not make mistakes."
A round up of the latest Man Utd transfer rumours as Paul Pogba continues to be linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona.
Barcelona will continue to pursue Paul Pogba this summer despite Manchester United's reluctance to sell, according to reports.
The France international has been linked with a move to the La Liga giants amid speculation of a rift with Jose Mourinho but United are unwilling to sell the World Cup winner.
Despite United's stance, the Spanish side are reportedly going to continue to pursue the 25-year-old who rejoined United from Juventus two years ago.
The Telegraph report Barcelona will continue with their interest in the same way they did with Philippe Coutinho who eventually signed from Liverpool last January.
Barcelona are likely to return with a vastly improved offer for Pogba in January or next summer, the report adds, and the club are reportedly monitoring his mood and relationship with Mourinho.
In other transfer news, it appears Mourinho's reported fears that United were played by Diego Godin's agent could be true.
United made an approach to land the centre back ahead of last Thursday's deadline but the Uruguayan stayed put in Spain.
Now reports in Marca claim he is set to be handed a new improved deal believed to be worth nearly £7million a year.
Reports after deadline day said Mourinho was furious with Godin's agent after it suggested he had used United to force Atletico to give him a new contract. If that was the plan then it appears to have worked.
Ariedo Braida claims Rafinha is likely to stay
The Brazilian has the Barca player's profile
"Rafinha, quite probably, will stay at Barcelona," Braida told Radio Sportiva.
"He's a boy with a lot of footballing quality. He's a player who can decide games with the way he manages the ball and he can go far."
"Last year he came back from a bad injury but when he recovered he did great things at Inter. He's a player who has impressive technical skills. A very interesting player and he suits Barca very well."
Rafinha has been linked with several clubs this summer but now the midfielder is very likely to get another chance at his childhood club.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has high hopes for Malcom and Arthur
The goalkeeper is ready to help the new signings during their adaptation process
He claims both players have huge potential
Personal traits
"I just got to know them recently, just a few days ago," Ter Stegen told CBS Sports. "I can mainly speak about them as a person, because it's very difficult to assess in these two, three, four days. I think they fit very well into the locker room. Very interesting.
Conditions for development
"I saw a bit in the match when they played against Roma [in Dallas], they're very interesting football players with a lot of potential. For us, it's very important that they feel comfortable with us and that they adapt very quickly.
Language barrier
"They're Brazilian and speak Portuguese, which is not that far away from Spanish. It's difficult maybe in the beginning, but step by step they'll get used to it. I think it's easier to adapt than a German- or an English-speaking player...
Assistance from teammates
"We are all at their disposal to explain what they need to know about Barca. And football is so international that everybody understands its language. There are not that many words needed."
What do you expect from Arthur and Malcom this season?
Marlon may leave Barcelona for €15m and join Schalke 04
Barca have no more room for another non-EU player
Schalke 04 are looking for a replacement of Thilo Kehrer who moved to PSG and Barcelona's Marlon Santos is their preferred option, according to Diario Sport. The Germans are allegedly willing to pay €15m for the Brazilian.
Marlon will certainly leave Barca this summer as the club have the maximum number of non-EU players in their squad with Arturo Vidal, Arthur and Malcom.
The 22-year-old centre-back played for Ligue 1 side Nice last season and has been linked with many clubs this summer including Sunderland, West Ham and several Serie A teams. He was on the verge of joining Newcastle United but wasn't able to receive a work permit in time.
Sport claim that the clubs haven't agreed on the transfer yet but the Catalans are ready to sell and the defender himself is eager to join Schalke.
